My Books
Things I lost in Fire
On January 7th, 2025, I lost my house in The Palisades Fire. I didn't just lose my house, I also lost all my things. The things I spent a lifetime collecting. They carried my memories and anchored my past. They defined me. Then one day, they were all gone. I found myself reminiscing about them and thinking about the stories they told.
So I wrote this book of essays about the things I lost. Yes, I know it’s about a fire. Yes, it’s about the things I lost. But I promise it’s not all sad. In it, you'll find stories of love, laughter, grief and redemption. And maybe, a change in your perception of what our things truly mean to us.
You’ll also learn what it costs to replace a Vitmamix blender. It ain’t cheap.
The Vegetarian t-Rex
This was a bedtime story I told my son for years. Full disclosure. I am not a vegetarian. But it made for a good story.
The meanest, nastiest, hungriest T-Rex in Dinosaurland has a dilemma. He's lonely. The problem is he prefers to eat all the other dinosaurs instead of making friends with them. That is until he is introduced to the wonderful world of vegetables. He quickly learns he can make friends and fill his belly at the same time.
